If you have them in a crib, the fastest way that causes the least stress is to let them learn to sooth themselves to sleep. When they start to cry don't go through, put your head under the pillow, and just keep saying to yourself, in 2 nights time my babies will sleep through the night.
You will notice the first night that the crying gets further and further apart. The second night they may only cry a couple of times. The third night they will sleep right through.
Some people believe that the Ferber method is less stressful for the baby. I don't believe this to be true, it sends a mixed message to the child. The child will end up crying harder because they know that you will come through when they do.
It is very health for a baby to learn to sooth it's self to sleep.
It makes everyone less tired, which means you will be less cranky with the baby.
The first 2 nights may be a little rough, but when your baby sleeps through the night on the 3rd, you will know you have done the right thing.
It is important that your baby is not too hungry so I advise doing this when they are on solids. I did this at six moths, and my baby sleeps from 8pm to 8am everyday.

Ouch, you poor thing, one is bad enough to wake up out of a dead sleep to.

Make sure you aren't letting them nap too much during the day. When they are napping, keep the house a bit more lit, don't tip toe around, do the daily things you would do if they wern't there...that way they learn the difference between nap and bedtime.

If you haven't already, start a bedtime routine. Begin with a nice bath, warm and cozy, darken the house, get some relaxing lotion scents to use after bath, baby magic always worked good for my son. Play some soft music and keep the mood relaxed. Then keeping the house dark, get the babies ready for bed, jammied up and warm. Have the bottle ready then to continue the bedtime mode. One thing I did was go in about midnight, when my son was asleep and change his diaper and slip him another bottle, he would take it in his sleep, that made a huge difference for getting further into the night.

Good luck to you, I hope this helps!

Sweetheart, not trying to be smart, but maybe they r not getting enought to eat. My 4 month old twins take 8 ozs. of milk every 3 hrs. And they do sleep through the night. They take their last bottle about 9pm and sleep til about 7am. Try increasing their milk a little at a time. Good luck honey!!

I have twins and they are two now..thank God!! They finally started sleeping all night at about one. My best advice is to wait it out. Even if you only had one baby it is still a little early for the baby to sleep through the night. The only other thing I could suggest is to not have them sleep with you and to be consistent with your night time routine. Once you've done that your baby will know when bedtime is coming by bathtime and they will be ready for it. Good Luck!!

you cry lol.

They will sleep in longer spurts when they do. There's no way to know or anyway to make them sleep through the night. 4 months is still kinda early.

They might be uncomfortable.. To hot to cold. not feeling up to par etc.

I myself have twins and we didnt sleep the full night until we were about 6 months old. and that was still not every night

TWINS! God bless you sweet heart! On their own time they will sleep through the night. They are at the point they dont really want to sleep at night. All I can say is try to make sure htat they dont get much sleep in the day time so that they are tired by night time. God bless you and good luck

My youngest son didn't sleep through the night (10p-6a)until he was 9 months old. He's now 2 1/2 and still gets up at least once. I was spoiled with my first who slept 10p-8a at 6 weeks and was breastfed! Are they getting up to eat or just fussing? Four months is still young to sleep every night through the night. I'd work to get them to sleep 4-5 hours straight together.

Try playing relaxing music, feed bottles a little warmer than usual and feed in dim light. Do your twin sleep in different rooms? A warm bath helps. Are they eating cereal yet that might help too. Good luck

Wow. I'm scared now, lol. I'm four months pregnant with twin boys, and I've worried about this exact same thing. I came up with the fact that I would sleep when they sleep, and stay up when they are up. So at night I would just have to stay up with them, and sleep in the daytime until I can safely manipulate their schedules like I did with my four other children.
