As the majority of answers posted here make clear, its not likely that the West will wake up anytime soon.
We are trapped in a snare of our own making.
Having enshrined the notion that anything that calls itself a religion has an unlimited right to do and say whatever it wants we are now hard pressed to take action against a religion that calls for the slaughter or enslavement of all non-Muslims, the control of government by Muslims to the exclusion of all others, the end of all Western democratic notions, the censorship of all forms of media, and the imposition of a primitive and barbaric legal system right out of the stone age.
Nor are these the goals of only a handful of extremists but of almost the entire Muslim world, almost all of whom are "extremists" by the standards imposed by the liberal media on Christians or Jews.
True, there are some moderate Muslims. The entire world's population of such Muslim moderates could meet in a telephone booth with room left over for every sensible leftist.
Islam is and has always been, a vicious, warlike, bigoted, aggressive movement that is incompatible with Western notions of democracy and individual liberty.
In a way, I hope that we do nothing and that every idiot who has posted nonsense about moderate Muslims lives to see the day when their parents or children are torn limb from limb by the fanatic, bomb throwing lunatics that are the Muslims.

How ignorant can people get?! You are not allowing the Muslim population to grow, people make their own choices as to what they believe in. Do you even know anything about Islam? Islam means peace it does not condone the killing of innocent people.The people doing these sick things would do it no matter what religion they are. So should we say that all Catholics are perverts because a few molested boys.Or that all Mexicans are illegal because a few are.Or all white men are serial killers? No, some people commit crimes no matter what race, gender,or religion they are. You can't label a whole people because of what a few have done, the good will always outnumber or out power the bad. Ignorant people like you need to stop racial profiling!

Well that is kind of an ignorant question. Just for you knowledge Muslims as a whole aren't "evil" and don't agree with terrorism at all. There are terrorists in many organized religions. How about the right wing christians who think there pro-life view is so correct that they shoot doctors who perform abortions? Read the Quran, you will find the faith has nothing to do with terrorism in any way. Just some right wing extremist muslims who view it that way

I think the American Indians said the same thing about Christianity. The Muslim faith has absolutely nothing to do with terrorism ... it's the extremists of the faith. And this happens in all religious faiths, not just the Islamic religion. Would you recommend genocide against another faith because the beliefs are not the same as yours? Then maybe you could stand next to Saddam in trial ...

There's nothing wrong with Muslims, per se. It is the violent, Islama fascist ones we have to worry about.
What I do object to are the Muslims who emigrate to Europe, and then start making all sorts of unreasonable demands on their host country. In the Netherlands, for example, the government has started requiring potential new immigrants to watch a video detailing their lifestyle. The video shows same sex kissing, women in skimpy outfits, drug use, and other scenes you might witness walking the streets of Amsterdam.
The viewers have to acknowledge they understand the lifestyle of the Netherlands so that they have no excuse to protest it later. They know what they are getting into.

well ken since you're an advocate of genocide, i trust that you will be the first to jump into the chamber. Yes religions are ideologically coercive, but they by no means possess the military power to "end the world", that is the statists throughout the world, and they count on brainwashed fools like yourself, who will stand idly by while they slaughter and enslave the globe.

There must be a good reason why it is growing if this is the case. How do you stop people from making their own choice if you believe in freedom. Maybe you don't and if that is the case you are free to think that.
