hmm.. domestic dogs and cats..(lock them up at all times) ohh and the occasional buffalo (keep them in your closet for protection) :)
I don't see how birds in Illinois would prefer anything different than the standard menu for the ones in the other 49 states.. especially the ones that accidentally fly across the border from indiana or kentucky ohio missouri and wisconsin .. they all say "oh no... we must turn around" when they even get close :)
different birds like different things.. sunflower seeds .. dried corn.. day old bread.. or even that wonderful stuff commonly referred to as 'bird seed'.. you can find it in any pet section of any place or department store on the planet.. (illinois included) it's a big trade secret soo don't tell anyone! it could be potentially dangerous information if you share its location with the enemy (raccoons and squirrels also love the stuff)
