I was cheering for England ever since the beginning of the world cup finals but I wouldn't describe their performances as brilliant ones because we all know they are all better than this.....

I think they played as well as they could shorthanded (after Rooney was sent off) but it was too much to overcome. How on earth FIFA allowed a biased, argentinian ref (the argie bargies have never gotten over their abject defeat in the Falklands) to officiate such a critical match is beyond me. This was the same ref who sent Beckham packing in England's final match at the '98 World Cup, btw. So there very definitely WAS some history at play.
Anyway, fear not. With our conservative manager, Eriksson, out of the frame and plenty of talented young players in the pipeline, the Three Lions shall rise again -- and the Cup WILL come home to England!
ENGLAND FOREVER!!!

They played well considering they were short when one player got sent off (Rooney...and it was a crappy call). I hate the penalty kicks....I say let them play until the best team wins.

I wanted them to win the whole time, but they kinda played sloppy today, who wouldn't blame them though, they had been running around for almost two hours....
