The substance of thought is energy-electric impulses. It is a form of matter that is very subtle.Mind is outside the body and it is triggered by thought, which travels through the Soul to Universal Mind and then is manifested according to Universal Law.The Etheric waveform has more to do with the energy and healing of the physical body. The human body has more than just the physical body and each form is less dense than the previous one, i.e. physical body, astral body, Spiritual body.

If you mean substance as what is the vehicle for concious thought I would say its the mind. I feel like the mind is formulated via a series of electrical impulses, and various waveforms that is unique to each individual due to ones DNA and surrounding influences. But it baffels me what makes our concious seem so alive, and unique. what do you think?

Great question! As of now with my limited perception, I think thoughts are electrical impulses carried through etheric matter. But wait, that can't be because it is too limiting. Thoughts exist outside of the etheric world also. If you ask again next week maybe I'll have a new improved response! It's good food for thought to consider exactly what is a thought.....hmmmm

First, conscious is misspelled. Yahoo offers SPELL CHECK for Pete's sake -- use it.
The substance of your conscious thought is void matter I think. Nothing personal, but if you have to ask that question, you're really not thinking are you??
Conscious thought comprises many external and internal factors which vary on in infinitesimal, random basis. Conscious thought makes up how we feel, think, react, etc. Mind, matter, the nervous system . . . some things are innate, i.e. we are born with it. Some things are learned behaviors. Some things are cause and effect, as simple as that. The five senses come into play . . . and the list can go on and on.
Sub-conscious thought is MUCH more interesting.

Something little more dense than consciousness itself and it cannot be so , that is why thoughts goes trough a device called mind, where they develop certain density which allows it to be sustained in 3D environment. It would be hardly called substance, for consciousness thoughts and mind is immaterial. Kind of anti-matter, but somehow that alliance is not annihilated right away, but we coming very close to this spectacular event time to time in history of that co-existence. Matter of time is a protector? Perhaps.
