I know! I am always flipping my pillow!
I think it's because if you are laying on it, it becomes heated to your body temperature and no matter the temp of the room or the pillow-it will always be cooler than your body temperature which will feel cool to you!

The other side of the pillow is cooler because your body heat heats the pillow up whereas the bed does not.

It's always cooler because it is not heated by your body temperature. Glad to hear someone else flips their pillow for the cool side too.

Your head gives off more heat than any other part of your body. The head side of the pillow is always hotter because of that.

because our body heat makes the side our head is on warmer. whereas the side facing the bed is cooler because the bed does not give out heat. thanks for asking. Good to know someone else also flips the pillow to lie on the cooler side.

your body heat makes the side your laying on warm and because only the bed is touching the backside it stays cool unless you sleep with your hand under it or something
