they made it to the finals my favourite players from this team are: the goalie Ricardo and Cristiano Ronaldo...they played great against england and beat them too....

i agree that portugal played well but i guess they didn't play well enough. people are sore about portugal winning partly because they thought the referee was partial towards england and partly because with the obvious advantage of one more man, they expected portugal to put on a better performance than having to settle in penalties.
england on the other hand put on a brilliant and most respectable performance in the second half, especially after rooney's exit.
i guess that pretty much sums it all up.

ppl porbably dont like them to win bcoz portugal hasnt won any world cups yet and they havent seen what portugal has to offer. lets hope portugal make it through!

England are a good team but they weren't playing very well in these world cup finals. I was cheering for England though but Portugal deserved their triumph

They're great, it is just English fans and their bitterness. They don't know how to be good sports in the face of a loss - which is suprising since they haven't won the cup since '66 - they have enough practice.
