on the Spanish channels because when a player makes a goal, the adreneline shoots up and the sportscasters yell GOALLLL repeatedly with enthusiasm. This is the ferver through-out the sportscast, unlike the American televised version. So again, my question is why so repressed????

People who call soccer boring, just don't get the sport. It is the most exciting-it is the sportscasters that are BORING!

Amercian society is repressed in general, not just in their sportscasting. There is a lack of passion, which the government is pleased about because no other country would tolerate what goes on in this country with politics, health care, etc. etc. Don't get me started. And as for the guy who answered that the sportscasters are not good because soccer is boring-American sportscasters are pretty unenthusiastic in all their sportscasting, no matter what the sport. They could all use a shot of Latin gusto!

Most of the time they're sportcaster that regularly comment on other sports, so they dont know what football fan likes or expects. Other times its ex-players who have no real knowledge on how to comment for the fans. The announcers in the US have no spark or excitement on their voice. The Univision anouncers at least make it interesting even when nothing is happening, but i still prefer the Mexican commentators, I get some Mexican tv channels around here, and those ffuckers know their craft.

yeah I get that feeling too! I think its something to do with the American culture. None of the sportscasting is near as enthusiastic here as I used to see in other countries
