You billed something from Microsoft on-line to your checking account. There should be a toll-free number on the transaction line on your bank statement that you can call for more information. If it's not there, ask your bank for the number.

Additional information:

You sent me an e-mail off-line but you haven't verified your e-mail address so I can't reply to you that way. Here's what I tried to send:

"Ahhh... That explains things!

If it's in hold status, is it possible that you've used your card somewhere on line? Microsoft has been doing on-line payment processing for some time so you might not have been doing business directly with them. If the merchant uses Microsoft's clearinghouse for payment processing the hold will show up as Microsoft Online SVCS until it clears.

When you use a check card for any transaction, a "hold" is placed on the account for the amount of the transaction until it clears. It's a dirty little secret of the industry but some merchants are starting to get the word out due to customer complaints. For example, if you use your check card at a gas pump, the system will place a $75.00 hold on your account for several days until the sale clears through the system. This is true even if you change your mind and don't pump any gas!

Hope this clears things up for you!"
