It is especially sad to lose when our 10 men England played so well after Beckham got injured and then Portugals C Ronaldo cheated to deliberately get Rooney sent off. Seeing as they are team mates at Man Utd I guess Ronaldo knows how Rooney ticks and so how to wind him up and then chat up the ref to get him sent off the pitch. Anyhow it worked, Ronaldo was pleased - scum bag - England fought on, sometimes it did look like we could do it. It went through to be settled with penalties and due to some poor penalties from us plus Portugals advantage of a keeper with an enormous head size meant that we are flying home. Portugals cheating streak certainly leaves a bad taste in ones mouth but don't worry - I'm sure that they will soon be out of the world cup - they aren't a good team and don't deserve to do anything other than go home and cry. Ronaldo just wait....

It's crushing isn't it.
I have a feeling that Ronaldo { Portugal } had planned to get Rooney in a compromising position knowing that he would react.
Wait Until the new season starts in UK he will be hounded out of the country.

I am with you on this, not crying but sad to see us out. They played brilliantly with ten men. Same old story though, us and penalties, great saves by ricardo. I think the original formation was wrong, sticking Rooney out on his own up front was asking for trouble. Oh well ...better luck next time. Stop crying...OK? :)

Me, but i was more angry because of the sheer amount of cheating that went on
Was that ref blind! No sorry he was Argentine thats why.
Stupid Ronaldo and stupid ref! Even if rooney deserved a card the ref wouldnt have gave it to him for that as he didnt see. Clearly it was stirrer Ronaldo
The Ref must be mad if he gave rooney the red card for the shove!
Biased!
WE STILL LOVE YOU ENGLAND

It hurts a whole hell of a lot, Kaushi. But just remember, the best team does not always win in this world.
Please dry your eyes and look to the future. We're now rid of our conservative manager, Eriksson, and we've plenty of talented young players in the pipeline. Even Rooney will grow up a lot from his red card disgrace today, much as Beckham did after he had the same fate in the 1998 World Cup.
The Three Lions shall rise again and silence their embarrassingly envious, anglophobic detractors once and for all.
ENGLAND FOREVER!!!
