norton will not clean adware, its a dedicated anti-virus tool,go to http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/,and download adaware personal, this is a adware cleaning program, and is somtimes combined with spy-bot avalible from http://www.safer-networking.org/,a spyware removal tool, giving you all -round protection from all kinds of malware
as for norton,why not give f-secure anti-virus a go,it takes up less resources than norton,and does as good a job,it combines a
1)anti-virus
2)anti-spyware
3)anti-rootkit
and also has a great internet explorer sheild, giving you permenent protection while on the net
at the end of every day go to internet options and delete temp/internet files and cookies,or download ccleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/,this is a all round cleaner of files and also has a built in defragger and much more
good luck

An AV program can't remove Adware unless it is part of a Virus. Go to this Windows site for the removal procedure.

You should visit TrendMicro.com and use the free Housecall spyware scan. It finds and removes spyware and adware for you. You also need good spyware software, and for that, go to Microsoft.com to download the free Windows Defender. Good luck!

Norton is very aggressive and does what it wants to do. Bin it and get AVG. When you try to get rid of Norton you will see what I mean..it is'nt easy.
