You have a green card, so don't worry about the legal issues (i.e. ignore the first 2 posts)

Honestly, the best bet is to try to wait tables or work at a bar. The pay is low, about $5/hr, but make a lot in tips. You will also improve your English.

Work in a factory will be far from the city center, usually in distant, rural areas, and your English will not improve.

Speaking excellent English is really the key to living well in the U.S., especially if you have some education.

Sretno!

Unless you have an H1 Visa and a sponsor, getting any job is going to be tough, as you won't be able to work legally.

With only a 2 year degree and only basic English, even if you are here legally, you'll be limited to menial jobs. Factory jobs are tough to get as they are increasingly closing plants here and moving them to other countries.

Perhaps an assembly line in an electronics factory.

But again, without specific skills, getting a work permit is going to be tough.

Don't enter legally, sneak in from Mexico. Dubya or one of his rich rancher friends will give you a job pciking cotton for $8/hr with no benefits. Hell, he'l even give you citizenship in a month or two.
