Hands down, the answer has to be George Harrison, for the following reasons:
-George was the most consistent songwriter of the Beatles. Simply put, while with the Beatles he never wrote a bad song.
-In addition to being a guitar virtuoso, George was also the most musically talented of the group; for goddsake, the man played 26 different instruments!
-He was said to be the absolute nicest guy in the entire world. Tom Petty has said that George would never visit a friend without bringing them a gift. It got to the point that Harrison once brought Petty six ukeleles within the span of a week.
-Despite the other Beatles treating him like crap, George never said an unkind word about them, nor anyone else for that matter. In the words of Harrison himself, "anger and resentment only delay you in finding a solution to the problem." He lived by this philosophy, even after Eric Clapton (his best friend) stole his wife. The two remained best friends.
-He organized the first benefit concert (The Concert For Bangla Desh), which set an industry standard for benefit concerts.
-Frank Sinatra referred to "Something" as "the greatest love song ever written."
-He died with peace and dignity, without compromising his beliefs or his ideals.

Hi crazy 13 - there are great things to say about all of them, but Sir Paul is my all-time favorite. He loved his late wife Linda dearly and they were married decades until she passed away. He wrote memorable, beautiful and even silly/funny songs before, during and after the Beatles. I think he made the Guiness Book of Records twice so far; it doesn't hurt that he's easy on the eyes, to say nothing of easy on the ears.

Pete Best.
Actually Paul. I like the songs he writes. Lennon gets a bit preachy too much. He has a good voice. And just seems to be a nice person.
Ringo is my second fav then Lennon then George.

Paul McCartney. After the band broke up, he had the band Wings, and I loved them just as much! ... well almost.

Ringo because he was someone you felt you could relate to and he wasn't "cute" like the other three. He was also the one that was most overlooked by everyone. Also liked John until he took up with Yoko. Great sarcastic sense of humour.

I actually prefer the dung beatle. I am fascinated by the way he rolls his little ball of dung around with practically no purpose. Like so many of us, he is working his A$$ off, but getting no where.
