you can find jobs listed in the paper, or if you have an idea of where you want to work you can dress nice and go in and ask if they are accepting applications and if you can have one.

sometimes they request to see a resume (summary of all previous work experience) so it is a good idea to have that and also business cards with your contact info on them...you can make these with templates from Staples or other office supply stores.

Look at the classified section of a newspaper or look for signs in windows. Fast food places, dept. stores, and restaurants are always hiring.
