Its a morally good idea. To give is sometimes better than receiving because you have the satisfaction of having helped someone less fortunate. We should all try to give to those less fortunate, even if its very little. However its usually the wealthy who seem to give more. For example Bill Gates once donated £400 million to help pay for immunisations against deadly diseases in Africa. Good man!

Does it not feel your heart when you give a gift and the person receiving it looks at you with a warm smile and says thank you so much. Well, It does mine.

I don't mind much for knowing who's idea it was but they should be congratulated on their selflessness! I like giving better than receiving and just the knowledge it is appreciated is enough for me! It makes up for the times I don't ask and yet I receive!

Probably someone who gave the gift of life, and saw the expression of the receiver's face when they realized they would live longer.

Giving is a wonderful feeling. Receiving is great too - but when you give, 2 people feel special, not just one...and that's awesome!!

These are Jesus' words and therefore treat them with respect. You obviously don't believe that it's true. Why not try it and see for yourself? Giving IS better than receiving. You"ll see.

I think the idea is that when you give something, it multiplies. Don't know whose idea it was though. I think what matters is whether you agree or not, that's all.
