No... Jesus died in the time of the Roman empire. Everybody in the old testament was pretty much dead by the time of Jesus.

PS Sorry everybody's being jerkey to you...Of course you know he wasn't... and you're looking for a good way to explain it to your seven year old.

If the child is making reference to the other two who were with Jesus then I can only make reference to The Death of Jesus, Matthew 27 from the New American Bible, Hell page 1060, where they talk about Jesus dying. I have heard in CCD the order in which the three died but I am not sure.

I guess you would have to go to an outside source for that one but who knows, at least you will get his last words.

Hey child, stay innocent not ignorant.

How could he have been? He wasn't the first human alive; in fact, religion-wise, he was relatively new (only 2000 years or so). Since he was not the first human being, he was also not the first human being to die.

at least your child knows who jesus is.
i had a friend who's family never taught him about religion.
his parents grew up catholic.
so one day when he was 7 he went on a school trip and saw a statue of jesus on the cross, blood splattered everywhere, jesus' face in pain.
my friend looked at it, went up to his teacher and asked" teacher, what happened to that man?"

and for the jerks who are criticizing the original poster..she was only pointing out how inquisitive her child was.
stop being so stupid.

People have been born, lived and died before there were history books and time lines. Some civilizations lived to longer terms, but in the end they also were buried
