I don't think so too... Portugal was definately faking it and the ref really had it out for the English team. bad call on the red card for Rooney. They played fair and hung in there w/ a man down. good job guys.

i thought it was fair enough... rooney's sent off was harsh though. i didnt agree with that one. and "faking injuries" isnt an issue... all teams have their moments when they just drop down and roll about, hoping for some attention. england players did the same too. ashley cole even held the wrong part of his leg... terry was all drama too.
but i dont wanna start pointing all this out. otherwise, how am i different from u. bottom line, portugal won fair and square. dont be such a sore loser. and ps: im both an england and portugal fan... but i can still see that portugal played a better and much more exciting game compared to england. portugal deserved their win. specially with all those amazing saves ricardo did.

Yes the Portuguese were on their knees more than a 2 bit whore trying to draw fouls however in the end - England did not attack the first half well and what can you say about Rooney. Brilliant player but loose cannon and his actions hurt the team.
Was it fair - yeah. The referee did an overall decent job of ignoring the drama queens. Those fouls did not cost England the match.

No no. You got it the other way around. England was the one diving, and clearly had the ref's protection. Hargreaves should have been booked at least for a ball retention which Petit also did and was immediately booked.
But I have to compliment English players because they did show some fair play, tons more than the Dutch.

It was as fair as it's gonna get this World Cup. Who's complaining? The English! Even some German fans and neutral observers admitted that the ref of Argentina-Germany was favoring the Germans, but do you see the Portuguese doing the same? The ref ignored diving from BOTH teams, and he gave yellows to both teams.

i've got faith that Arsenal are confronted with a seize 22. in the event that they leave out out on the Champions League, they lose a brilliant number of money. in the event that they qualify for the Champions League, Wenger keeps to be on the helm, that's undesirable via fact they could desire to extremely get a sparkling supervisor. Wenger would not understand what he's doing to any extent further.

No it was not fair, the faking is spoiling the world cup, all the players that use that as part of the game should be ashamed that they are playing for their countries, go back to the true game, win with soccer skills, not play acting.

No game that's decided on penalties is ever fair. I'm sorry England lost... They were the better team!
