My sister and I lost our father about three years ago. We have done everything to make sure that our step mom is taken care of. My whole family has excepted her with open arms. For the last two years we have heard from some family friends that she is talking bad about the family. What should we do?

Maybe she's so unhappy in life it's all she can find to do and doesn't realize she's doing it.I would think the family all knows each other well enough to know whatever she is saying is bologna...Let her be,and when and if she says something again,mention to her that you know the difference and would prefer not to hear such things.

Confront her one on one...in the nicest way. Lay all of your information out on the table. Make a note of her response(s). If after talking to her, you feel that she has been treating your family with much disrespect, drop her 'Talking-Tillie'-*** like a hot rock...sever the ties...cut the ropes...kick her *** to the curb! AND after all is said and done, don't look back!!!

What specifically is she saying to the other family members? Are they reliable sources of information or are they "stirring the pot"? The best thing might be for those other family members to stop letting her complain to them and insist that she speaks to you directly about her concerns.

I suggest you do nothing just listen to what she says around you do not listen to he say she say it causes to many problems. all you really can do is be the best person you can be and people will automatically know its a lie. if your family is good people all will know and there is nothing you can say to her she will not admit it. The truth will come to the light.

im sorry to hear ur dad died mine did also but mabey you should just talk to her even yell and if she pulls that im your mother you can't talk back to me crap shes not your real mom so eh w/e anyways talk to her and ask her why shes doing that sides it makes no sense now that she is part of your family she just bad mouthing herself as well as every1 else
