Well hopefully the safety glass of the windshield don't allow it to explode, but maybe crack.
Buy would you care to clarify what you are thinking? Perhaps you meant how much expansion of the volume of air within the car's interior would be necessary to crack the windshield?
Well, let's just say the window and door seals would begin to leak before that happened. Next lets suppose the doors and windows were welded shut or otherwise sealed to prevent leakage. Again the heat in the cars interior would most likely begin to combust any of the seats, dashboard or other non-metal surfaces before the necessary expansion occured.
Finally, if you removed anything combustable and kept the doors and other windows sealed, then the amount of heat would be....
Wait doesn't this sound like a bomb now?? Yikes, next question!
