neither one...I respond. Action and reaction imply some effort, splash of energy either positive or negative. Both originate stress and future consequences of it. Responding, instead offering Peace, confirming a balance and contentment. Reaction is triggered by repressed in subconsciousness past. Action is a consequences of so-called knowledge and following thoughts, this is also a past which , by our actions we transferring into the future, creating a patterns. Responding is being in a moment, and that is beautiful. No patterned movement.

They are not exclusive performances. I act sometimes and react at some other times. The popular cliche "Do not react, act" means that it is not proper on the part of anybody not to initiate any action and when some other body does, then find fault with him/her.
