i thought that i saw RONALDO dig his neck in2 the back of rooneys and then shoot him an evil i dont know wther it was a friendly thing but it certainy didnt look it

When he spoke to Rooney before the game, Rooney laughed in response, so I don't think that was anything malicious. As for the red card incident, Rooney brought that on himself, and Ronaldo didn't even speak/touch/look at Rooney at all, so you can hardly blame that on Ronaldo. If someone had just stamped on an England player, I think the England players would have done much more than just run up to the ref. After the game, Ronaldo also reiterated that they are both good friends.

I really hope Ronaldo doesn't get booed when (if) he plays in the Premiership again. It's Rooney that was stupid enough to stamp on the Portuguese in the first place. What exactly did he expect? He was going to be sent off anyway.

Team mates or not the world cup is a big game for all players, no matter what country or nation. But Ronaldo was egging Rooney which finally got him sent off. Rooney should have been big enough to take it on the chin, he left his team mates to battle at least an hour off football with 10 men. Fair play to them they fought well but as always the penalty shoot out let us down. As everyone else that felt this was the right team and the right time for England to win the world cup. My dreams have been shattered as so as the nation.

Yeah Ronaldo is a cheat so it was probably all planned out and certainly came off a treat.

Ronaldo is clever enough in some ways but thick enough to put Rooneys back up and then to score the penalty that knocked England out of the world cup. He's got another thing coming when he plays in the premiership again.

before the match, im sure they were buddies. they're like the super duo in manchester united, where they both play. but right before rooney got sent off, im not sure what ron said that ticked rooney off so much and caused rooney to react and shove ronaldo. then again, in ronaldo's defence, its the friggin world cup. when u see your nation's team mate go down, u say something! and thats what ronaldo did when cavalho was brought down. so no pointing fingers at c.ronaldo. he was a star for portugal tonite. just becuz england lost, its not right to find someone to blame.

no i dont think so. cristiano ronaldo has always been far from rooney and i think rooney did what he did because c. ronaldo was trying to defend his teammate and that pissed off rooney. rooney has such a bad temper and he obviously gave in. c. ronaldo has been controlling his temper for the sake of his team and he promised to do so.
