Neville looked to be the nearest. There are many in the England squad deserving of the captaincy: Gerrard, lampard, terry and neville (and owen who is injured). I guess because Neville is a strong captain and he also captains Manchester United. He is also very well respected and a very fair player. Terry was most likely to get the armband if he hadn't been so far away and on a yellow card...

i think of that's fairly puzzling for him to play his organic sport as he may be having the different burden of being captain of Indian team he has left captaincy of Delhi for an identical reason and now that's INDIA. Any techniques enable's wish that Sehwag manages the load and lead India to victory.

beckham was substituted so he had to give the arm band away....while he was going he was hurt and neville was nearer to him...and the captainship is to be given to experienced player....so why not neville....and mind it it was not just because they were mates....Neville deserves it
