why do people keep saying it will "look gross" to a woman??? HELLO---if the guys penis is HARD, it looks just the same. I have heard that the circumsized penis feels less sensation then the uncircumsized penis because there ARE nerves removed with the foreskin. Had I known what I know now, I probably WOULDN'T have circumsized my son. There is NO reason to have your son circumsized unless it is for TRULY religious reasons, which is why it ever began to begin with!!!!! Don't do it! And ignore this IGNORANT women who don't know any better then to tell you it'll "look funny" If they knew how to turn a man on, they'd know their replies are ALL BULLSH*T

Okay, I personally read a story of a man who had his done as an adult and said he felt on difference in the amount of feeling. Only someone who's had it both ways could possibly know if feeling is lost or not. Everyone else is just guessing. Whether someone thinks it's gross is a matter of opinion. Honestly, I do think most women feel that way about it. There are some significant health benefits, though to having it done. It is not a "new" practice, God ordered his people to have all of the males circumcised more than 1000 years ago and it has gone on ever since. There is a lot of research out there if you want to look at some on-line. There are strong associations between certain cancers in both the man AND his female partner that are significantly lower among the circumcised population. If you're worried that your son may one day think he's "missing out" on more pleasure, remember that he has nothing to compare to, so there would be no sense of "loss".

All boys are born intact. In fact circumcision is an outdated torture that should be abolished. It does nothing to help the function of the penis and actually loses some of the nerves in the penis. I am intact and love it and I have had no complaints From anybody I have been with. The main thing is to teach the young boys how to keep their penis clean and they will have no hygiene problems and better sex because of the extra nerve tissue
The biggest supporter are already cut, mutilated, have part of their penis thrown away so of course they support it or otherwise their parents would be wrong for having them cut. I am an older man and have never had an infection, premature ejaculation STD or any of the other things people say WILL happen so do not cut your little boy because society says it is normal. In 20 yrs the norm will be intact boys and everyone who is cut will be different

What a considerate father. It is not gross, it is what nature intended and proper care is not difficult to learn. Circumcision is something that has happened in this century in this country and it needs to be reconsidered. The current trend is against it so go with leaving him perfect and whole.

When I had my exit physical from the Air Force, a really sad looking young man was in the waiting room with me. He volunteered that he was there to be circumcised (he didn't say why it was needed; probably infection or tight foreskin). This tough young guy was almost in tears. "I sure wish my folks had had it done when I was little," he said. I've never forgotton that. There is more than just transient phsysical pain to consider. If I haven't forgotton that (just as an observer), you can be sure this event will haunt that young man forever.

most of society teaches us that uncircumcised males are not clean, which is just not true. The idea being that since the head of the penis is covered with skin, it is more likely to hide harmful stuff inside, which is true, but as long as a man keeps himself clean and cares for his penis carefully, that should not be an issue. don't let her talk you out of it, educate her, you can find tons of resources on line just by googling it! do what you think is right.

Talk to the pediatrician...they can tell you a few reasons medically to have it done....the main one is infection.....and when he's older he may have a medical reason to now need to be circumsized and that will be painful then....I fought with my ex about having our son done when he was born...I lost the fight..now at 13 my son gets teased at school when he showers after gym class...teasing got so bad last yr he stopped showering until he got home..so there are both physical and mental reasons for why it should be done...

It shows how shallow and vain some women can be. Someone women that are more understanding don't mind an uncircumcised penis.

It's like the fallout after a woman's had a baby. I don't mind it at all. But if I did I wouldn't expect her to have it cut off.

because it is gross looking, plus your son most likely will be happy it was done otherwise the first girl that sees it is most likely not going to have ever seen an uncircumcised penis, he will be embarrassed, plus then if he wants it to be done later in life, he will be bigger it will hurt more...he will be mad at you. Do It. listen to the wife. do it while he is still a baby.

good idea..... I applaud you..... I wish my parents had not mutilated mine like that.....
think of all the sensation you'd be takin away from him..... tell her it is just plain cruel and unnecessary... teach your son to keep his self clean and he will have no problems.... let him make that decision when he is older....
uncut men do not get yeast infections on the foreskin unless they are just complete slobs it is avoided by simply showering as you should do anyway...
it is JUST as painful when the kid is young as when he is old.....
these people answering do not know what they are talkin about....
