Well...before the very end of pregnancy, the baby doesn' t have anything resembling bowel movements. The baby swallows amniotic fluid and pees it out. But this is just practice. All the nutrients the baby needs, as well as oxygen before birth come from the mother's blood supply via the umbilical cord. All the waste products, including carbon dioxide, return the same way.

Sometimes, shortly before the birth, the baby passes meconium--the first bowel movements that baby normally passes the first few days of life. Depending on the reason for this, it can be a serious complication, but usually it doesn't mean anything, nor does it harm the baby. In this case, however, it "stains" (that's the term used) the amniotic fluid. It leaves the mother's body in the moments after the baby's birth.

Babies don't excrete waste until it's close to time to be delivered.
If the baby excretes too much waste while still inside the mother, it can be very bad for the baby and cause them to go into distress before they are delivered.

That waste is called meconium and is like a greenish clear slimy gelly like substance that you would see after the amniotic sac breaks open and all the fluid comes out.

Unfortunately, all of my babies had a little meconium in the sac before they were delivered and I had c-sections with all of them (large fibroid tumors kept them from descending down into the birth canal for a normal vaginal delivery).

They shouldn't have a bowel movement until after birth. If they overdue, they often times do, causing most of them to have infections. That's what happened to my son.
The baby will pee in the womb and it helps to make up the amniotic fluid but he/she will not be doing any "doo-doo" as you so eloquently put it.

the baby's do eventually do doo-doo and it goes into the placenta. sometimes this can be inhaled be digested by the baby as it is being born and cause problems at delivery.

Most babies in utero don't have bowel movements. Some do, but it's not until the end of the pregnancy, and it can cause major problems if this happens. (The baby can aspirate it into his lungs and get very sick.)

Baby's only urinate while in utero, and it's recycled into the amniotic fluid, which is sterile. Babies don't eat solid food...they receive all their nutrients from the mother via the placenta. No solid food in the stomach = no poop.

It stays in the water. Or amniotic fluid. A fetus or baby shouldn't have to use the bathroom until they are born. If they do however have a bowel movement they have to be suctioned out before they are allowed to cry so they don't get an infection in their lungs

The baby doesn't
While in the womb, it is a shared system via the umbilical cord. All wastes are dealt with by the mother's organs, and excreted by same.

the first bowel movement isn't until birth...they urinate in the womb which is part of the amniotic fluid..if there were any wastes that needed to be taken out it would be through the umbilical cord via the mother.
