I just think that even if rooney did deserve to be sent off, if it wasnt for Ronaldo's little comments then the ref would not have even done anything about it.
Clearly Ronaldo isnt the best player -> if acting and diving make a good player then hell yeah! Give him player of the Year.
I hope they get absolutely smashed to bits by Brazil, then we will see just how theatrical he can be. Which will prove how 'good' a player he is.

We are not sore losers. And for your information no one wishes he was English! No one would want to have someone like that on our team- a diver concerned with bringing his own teammate down! If he was English we would have disowned him by now. If you are happy with the fact that he dives and cheats his way to a victory then more fools you. But certainly we English would not - that is not the way to win.

First of all it is Rooney <--
Secondly no he didnt deserve it -to be sent off. Anyone who watched the replays could see it was accidental. If sad meddlers like Ronaldo could just stop kissing the refs backside then maybe the outcome may have been different.
Dont deny it he deserves everything he gets.
And no I am not a sore loser - justice should be done for this to be avoided in the future. Players should not and must not get away with changing the refs mind.
Harsher punishments should be dealt and fifa should crack down on players that have clear motives like that rat-bag in question. (wink, smug expression says it all really)

Haha i dont want him to owe me anything thanks. Actually i want him out of England back to his own cheating diving country where he belongs. England has been good to him, they have shown the world his true, crying, cheating, lying colours.

By the way we arent sore losers we have accepted what has happened, but that doesnt stop us having opinions of players like him who are cheats --> watch any game to confirm this!

Rooney didn't deserve a red, and if he did then Ricardo deserved one 10 minutes later for shoving Crouch.
And yes Ronaldo is a diving cheat, but so are the majority of portugese players like valente, and maniche.
The problem is that the refs bought it and gave portugal every important decision. But what did u expect from an Argentinian ref.

Yes I agree,
Ronaldo is a cheat and a diver,
Rooney is a great player but an absolute nutcase with no self-control, his indiscipline cost England dearly.
One player does not make a team but can certainly motivate or de-motivate them as Rooney did.
If Ronaldo continues this behaviour he will be finished one way or another very quickly.

C Ronaldo is indeed a diver, the evidence is overwhelming. He actually seems to be striving to perfect the art. The FIFA Ocar 2006 goes to, C Ronaldo whose diving ability is second to none.
In addition, I agree players shouldnt be whining and pestering reffs to get other players sent off. I think this should result in THEM being sent off, or at least a yellow card.

I agree with voetball - hardly a scintillating performance from Portugal, and a fair bit of help from the ref who fell for most of their theatricals. At least the England team don't petition the ref to get as many as the opposition booked/sent off as poss - sign of a team who know they can't win on their own merit, I reckon!

I agree, and what he did at the start was uncalled for but at the same time something needs to be done about Rooney. The reason he got a red wasn't even because of the fowl, it was the push afterwards. Disgraceful.

Rooney needs some serious anger management.
He deserved that red card.
He didnt play well in the world cup as alot of people had high expectations of him. Typically overrated.
Alas..as always England cannot perform in PSOs'.
Too many "stars" instead of real football players.
Now England is really seeing stars!!!

I'm with you man!!! Ronaldo was a little piece of $hit the entire tournament. He doesn;t deserve to be in Manchester. I hope he ends up in the MLS.
