They lose BECAUSE of the HYPE. Same reason why Italy lost THREE World Cups on penalty the last few times. They shouldn't be driving ferraris bvut OLD Bangers. They should be told they are S**T THEN they want to prove themselves. Rooney didn't hit the ball right ONCE and Owen was even worse. Strip the MONEY off them.

They just didn't play as good as Portugal and though Crouch and Lennon played well they still couldn't score and that is because they didn't have enough talent.Then I would say from Euro 2004, Portugal won with England and you see why they lost today and also the squad was the same and they couldn't figure out a way to score though they had some good chances!

Yes. You got it right. The beginning of the end started with Wayne Rooney getting the red letter!. Then it was when David Beckham got injured. Forgot which one came first...but both incidences spelled England's doom..

Maybe that was a Freudian slip of yours - 'loose'. Their play was exactly that - far too loose. If you really want to to ask why did they lose, quite simply, they were not good enough........
