i live in uae can dell notebok be shipped to me over here if i purhase it by net? have any idea about cost? i can pay extra for it..

They have a manufacturing plant in India, they will ship it to the UAE but it would cost a small fee for cross country delivery, no more than an extra $75.00 (american) i would say. I think going to Dell's site would have the answer or call them the number will be on the site and they usually get you right to a person.

DAVE is an idiot...the poster said where they lived. The UAE is a country. (UAE=United Arab Emirates) Most Americans are hicks who don't go much farther than the local 7-11. I am pretty sure Dell ships to UAE. Go to Dell.com.
Another good manufacturer is Acer. They have better international support.

Acer does have the international support and I think they sell them locally in other countries so you can probably but it there in UAE. I own one and have played with a few of them. They are good laptops. The duo core processor tends to heat up alot. I don't know if that is Intel's fault or Acer but deng does it get hot. Other than that, it works pretty damn good. I'm not sure but I think Dell had Acer make some parts for their laptops. I know Acer makes LCD displays for alot of manufacturers.

I will edit my answer once you update the question...but you need to specify what country you are asking about. Dell will ship directly to many countries, but without knowing which one, I cannot give you an idea of the shipping cost. "Shipped to me over here" seems to tell me you are outside the US, but where outside would affect the answer.
