The opposite of love is not hate but indifference. people don't hate Hispanics they are just jealous as hell because they, like Indians and Arabs, and etc. that come here will be willing to work their asses off in jobs people here won't do and work their way up into something good while the people here sit in min. wage jobs and other assorted dead end jobs with their thumbs in their @$$e$ wondering where they went wrong while the immigrants are doing better than the ones that are sitting around whining about why, when, where, and how comes.

I don't know anyone who hates or dislikes Hispanics. I guess there are some who do, but I don't know any.

I was talking with a Hispanic truck driver in L.A. and he was asking me, a gringo, how come some guys on the CB make nasty comments of the racial type to him (I assume they could tell by his slight accent), and all I could do was apologize.

I could tell this guy's feelings were hurt cause when people talk on the CB they're just talking to be friendly.
So why can't this Hispanic guy have the right to use the CB without being insulted? So far that's my only direct experience with racism against Hispanics.

Hate conjures up a lot of energy. What a waste of good energy.
I guess, since you refer to a group of individuals as 'us' you want a generalized answer.
From where I sit here in the US (Cal), many of the hispanics are Mexicans. They are quite different than other hispanics from what my experience has been. I can understand why they act they way they do when they come up to the USA as I have spent a lot of time visiting/living in Mexico. Always legally. From what I have witnessed in Mexico, I am deeply troubled that the Mexicanos would come here, undocumented and uninducted (not educated to our ways of life and law) as well as uncommitted to our country and culture. That is why I toil against those that would allow such people into our country undocumented, simply for their ability or desire to work. It isn't hate. It's disapproval and concern that undesirable, cultural morays (and other dangerous things like drugs, disease and population increases) are coming with these illegal people without any controls or limits on the process or the individuals.
There are things wrong with all of us. Don't kid yourself about this. It's OK. It's a human thang. We are all imperfect and hae our less than desirable ways of being human. In this country we have/had a system of law and order. Mexicanos are not particularly iterested in law and order because they have been born into and raised in a somewhat lawless/corrupt country. How can they know if they have never experienced life our way. That and numerous other reasons are why we are "concerned" about hispanics and how they are conducting themselves in our country. The emotion you call hate is really fueled by frustration with the incompetence and corruption of our own government and it's lack of doing the job it was given tax dollars to do. Protect our country and secure our borders.

I don't hate Hispanic... i am white and dated a Hispanic for 3 years.. some people think just because someone doesn't look, act, speak and share the same cultural as them then they are beneath them.. i personally give everyone a chance regardless of they way they look.. if i decide not to like you it's not because you are different than i am it's just because i don't like you!!!!

Latinos are hated because they speak Spanish when around Americans causing the Americans to think they are being talked about. Latinos hang out in groups. That isn't the American way. Latinos, not all, but many are gang members. Latinos are here illegally. Any American dislikes anybody who makes more money than he does. If he's a Latino, he's hated all the more. Come on. You just weren't thinking very hard. The only thing I dislike about Latinos is the young kids drive too fast.

I don't hate hispanics or any other race. I just don't like people that break the law because in the long run it hurts everyone but is an advantage to the criminal. We all work hard and pay crazy high taxes to better our country and when criminals set us back it makes everyone mad.

the world is full of people who hate those who are different from them. Whites who hate non-whites. Hispanics who hate non-hispanics. People from Laos who hate anyone not from their homeland. Sadly that is the way of the world. Not everyone is like this. I am not like this. I only hate child molesters and white supremacists and people who hate just to hate.

I don't have a thing against hispanics, blacks, whites, or vulcans. What I do have a problem with are non-productive people of any race sponging off the working class. I also have a problem with criminals crying in their beer about how they are being denied what everyone else has.

I don't hate Hispanics. I am upset with our country because we are willing to allow illegal/legal people to come here and sponge off of us, then expect us to learn their language. If I were planning to move to Mexico or any other Spanish speaking country, would it be too much to ask for me to at least be able to communicate with the people there? That would be MY responsibility, no that country's responsibility. After all, that is their country, not mine!!!! In order to be embraced, at least try to learn ENGLISH!!!!
Just think about this, you rarely hear people saying they hate Vietnamese or Chinese. That is because they come to America and attempt to learn English, they get their citizenship status legally, and they also take care of each other and don't continue to have 8-10 children and expect the US to take care of them.
