The best definition I've heard of an addiction was anything that has more power over you than you do. There's hardly anything self-destructive in "Q&A", but like anything it becomes bad (that's true of any addiction) when it becomes THE focus of your life. Like any cooperative activity, you run the risk of addiction, but the O.D. rate for this is rather low.

Thinking about it, something that one enjoys doing a lot can be considered addictive but is not necessarily addictive. I believe that you can live without asking and answering questions around here.
