The problem with bleach and color removers is that you don't necessarily get a consistent white. It's much easier to make something a uniform darker color than a lighter color. Good luck!

Try a small amount of bleach in a large amount of water - maybe a 1/4 cup of bleach in your kitchen sink. You want a diluted solution, otherwise the bleach will attack the fibers and you will have holes. Keep moving the curtain around in the water, so the bleach has a chance to work evenly, or else you may end up with an irregular tie-dye kind of look.

Not sure you can but depending upon the fabric you might want to try Rit Whitener or soaking it in a high concentration bleach water but be careful of the type of fabric. Some off white fabrics are not died the cotton is that color naturally and there is nothing you can do about it. Oh another thing you could try is lay it out in the sun for a couple of days. Man I have done that on accident with towels around our hot tub and they get really bleached out.

It depends on the fabric. Some fabrics don't take dye well..and white isn't going to "cover" much..

You may be better off buying a "color remover". Rit makes one, but you run the risk of ruining the fabric. You can also try bleach, but it also depends on the fabric.

There is a product on the market specially for removing this type of stain. It is a small sheet of fabric which you add to the wash and it draws out the strain from the clothing. I cannot remember what it is called but perhaps if you typed 'stain removal' or something similar into Google you might find it. They can be used over and over a again.
