How can I get rid of emailers. I had 381 emails this morning. This is from two days.?

I answered a survey once and since then I get so many emails I don't know what to do. I have unsubscribed to as many as possible, but there are only so many hours in the day. I feel like closing everything up and starting over like a newbie. HELP

◙ One of the best features is how easy it is to keep up with a conversation with a single friend. All of your previous posts to that
person are right there for you to review in case you forgot what you were talking about. Another good feature is that everyone that emails you is automatically added into your contacts list (address book). Currently there is no way to opt out of that. Maybe later they will add that feature.

◙ GMail is currently in beta testing and isn't ready to be released to the general public. This is why you had to be invited to use it instead of just signing up for it like you would normally do with everything else. Because it is still being tested it will occasionally not do what you want it to do. When this happens keep trying until it gives up and report it to one of the following GMail Help groups below.

◙ Usually after a week or two you will be given the ability to invite others to Gmail. You will know when the time comes because a form will appear in the lower-left corner of your screen. Also when answering an email you will see a link that says "Invite So And So To Gmail". So and so is the name of the person you are emailing.

◙ Gmail also supports "plus-addressing" of emails. Messages can be sent to addresses in the form: [e-mail] where extratext can be any string. Plus-addressing allows users to sign up for different services with different aliases and then easily filter all e-mails from those services. It does not appear, however, that the +string feature works when sending email from a gmail account to itself. Additionally (in some cases) the string appended to the e-mail address may not be longer than six characters. Below is an example.
[e-mail] and fred+amazon+shopping will send email to the same inbox.

◙ There are some other things you can do with the space in your Gmail account. One of them is called "GDrive". It's a program you download that lets you use your Gmail account as a network drive. Search Google with the keyword "gmail" and you'll see a lot of new stuff. More is being created everyday.

Well, if Blue Frog was still around then i would have recommend you use it. But, you still have some options. First, you don't have to unsubscribe to a spam message to stop them. In fact, some believe that unsubscribing makes things even worse because now the spammers know that your e-mail address is vulnerable to spam. Instead, try to use the filter options in Yahoo! Mail. To access the filters' settings, from the mail main page, click on Options > Filters. To create a filter click on [Add]. Give the filter a name and start adding criterias for the filter. For example, if Subject contains "Viagra" then move message to Trash. Yahoo! mail free version off 15 filters. When you are finished, click [Save Changes]. The next thing you need to do is to change your setings under Spam Protection. Under "When I mark a message as Spam, in addition to deleting the message, " make sure "Add the sender's email address to my blocked addresses list" is checked. In the future, you might want to consider using disposable email addresses on web forms. Please refer to the following articles.

you get screwed when you sign your e-mai up for things these days. i use at least 2 addresses for this reason. it depends on what mail client you use do you use yahoo mail or is the client on your machine? withyahoo what i would do is open a second account, give it to your loved ones and use the other for people you just dont know about. set up spam filter and as many rules to avoid it as well. add people to your block lists etc etc. tons of things you can do but hard to say w/o more information from you. either way, any mail client has features to help you "filter" your mail. you have to also keep your eyes peeled when you fill out forms, read them well as you may be signing up for these mailings, read the fine print.

I didnt check my email for a week, and had over 1,000 e-mails, all spam. all you can do is report as spam, yahoo is kinda bad on there filters. best bet to make a new e-mail,. and dont give it out.

email them back and tell them to take your email address off your list or you will make a report against them.
