This is going back a long time ago now, and can't say it was dumb as he is far from that but it was the most hurtful thing that had happened however, it ended up making me the strong woman I am today and had our marriage change in a positive way. When I was in a severe Depression, but not knowing it at that time, and we had our 3 little kids, and I wasn't sleeping well, could not take care of myself, and the man then('cause he is far from that husband today, thanks be to God!)as I was lying on the floor, asking him to please stay home as I couldn't do it all anymore, and I needed help, walked right over me and said, "Call your mother or your sister, they'll help you. I HAVE to go to work."He had loads of sick time through his job working for the state, and he could very easily of taken off but he didn't, he chose not to as he was a work addict at the time!He didn't hear nor see anything then that was happening to me, our family. UGH! It brings back such painful memories but as I said, sometimes through the worst of times, the most pain, comes such clarity and growth and forgiveness and love..........with the help of marital counseling, medications, and loads of patience, faith and love, the greatest of these is love!:)

I would say that not talking or showing affection towards my wife for the first 12 years would do it for me.

He implied that what I do as a housewife and mother of four is nothing and worth nothing. We are in counseling.
