What do whites think about minorities?

I'm curious. i'm Hispanic and I think we have a bad rep for having kids early, cleaning toilets, and working in construction. But Hispanics still have this sense of pride, like they are better then everybody and I don't see why, when all we seem to value is our looks. Its pretty embarrasing sometimes to be Hispanic.

For the most part... I don't think about "minorities" at all. I pretty much think of everyone as people. You don't have to have kids early, or clean toilets or work in construction. Granted, there are a large number of Hispanics that do, but you yourself are not bound by what other people do.

Don't ever be embarrassed by your heritage, we all have aspects of our cultures that we are not necessarily proud of... but remember there are just as many, if not more, aspects that we can be proud of. And don't let anyone else make you feel that way.

Don't fall into the "trap" of considering yourself a "minority". Too many people use it as an excuse to not be the best person they can be. You are a person. Your self-worth is decided by you.

It shouldn't be embarrassing.

I am white and hire mostly Hispanics.
Like everyone, there is good and bad, but the ability to work together and strong work ethic is what made America great to begin with.

Having kids early, doing manual labor, valuing looks and thinking you are better than everyone else are just typical of the working class of any group. Most hispanics are relatively new to America. They are a strong addition. However, I would focus on being associated with the higher classes of America and forget about race. We are a country of mixed races and individual achievement is what it is all about.

Well, that is pretty sad if you are embarrassed by your own race. I am white and the only thing that pisses me off about hispanics is that some of them make a point to speak spanish when there is like only one or two white people around and it makes us feel like maybe they are talking about us. And while were at it, some of the hispanic men seem like perverts and oh why can't some of you learn english since you are here? I am in no way racist, but I thought since you were asking a legitimate question....

Sweety, don't be ashamed of yourself! If you feel bad about being Hispanic because you think white people look down on you then you are feeding into the stereo-type and telling people it's okay to see you that way. I know alot of guys who think that hispanic women are sexy as all get out! In my opinion, hispanics are some of the hardest, most devoted workers. And spanish is a beautiful language. Embrace your heritage!

As a white person, I think others should take pride in what they do, no matter what it is. I have cleaned toilets and done construction, neither job is hard to do, so perhaps thats why those who do them have such shallow interests? That you are on a computer says your smarter than the average american. Many people of all races think we surfers are wasting our time, don't succumb to their ignorance, if you do anything, help them to see the fun of learning.

First off worldwide Whites are the Minority. No one race is any better or worse than any other. We should all be proud of who and what we are. Unfortunately, people tend to only remember the worst that any group does and quickly forget or ignore the good things. So, be happy with yourself and make the most of what you have. Don't worry about what others think.

I have no problem with minorities-what ever that means. I see people all the time assume that people don't like them because of their social status or color or background. I can tell you from a white southern point of view. Generally speaking we do not. Yes we do have people who just hates anyone. All cultures do. Snobbery and racism is not something white people get. It is a cultural disease that affects every culture and color. When someone assumes they are being looked down upon and they act on that assumption-then we have trouble. Most of the time that is how it gets started.

Don't worry about the small things. You can't stop people from thinking,.. whatever.

It is EVERY color and nationality of people that gets it from all sides at on time or another, you know?

I feel like, if I keep my mind on the good and not the bad, things don't seem so bad. (Actually, the good is Christ, and I don't let the bad thoughts, which come from satan,..I just STOP THEM,.before I finish the thought, you know? )

the whites are basically the Europeans. the establishment of America or better to say the the discovery of America was due to the Europeans. they are the ones responsible for the present scene of America.they opened America to the world.the natives of America are the trials like the red Indians.Wat we see at present the injustice met ted out to the natives is really sad.the whites think that they are Superior to the world. they think that they r the ones who civilized the world
