It depends upon my mood. And it also depends upon how many spiders I've already ignored. I let a lot of them wander happily through my house and yard, as they are great predators and eat other insects. However, once upon a time my house had so many spiders, they were making nests in clothes, books, drawers, boxes, stuffed animals, EVERYWHERE. I wound up bombing the house to try to reduce the population. That did not work and squishing was required. I got tired of squishing and pulled out the shop vac. That sucked them up efficiently.
Nowadays, I squish any large spiders, although humungous ones get relocated to the outdoors. Tiny ones that I find on me get squished. I seem to be finding a lot of tiny ones lately, so I must have some breeders in active status.
I do kill any black widows I see (those are outside and in the garage).
My back yard is becoming overgrown and I notice there are lots of webs all over (and in) my garden shed. I probably need to take a broom and remove the webs as walking into a spider is not for me.
I try to remove webs from the exterior of my house and porch, using a broom or dust mop.

Are you kidding me? Anyone with the slightest inkling of a clue knows how valuable these creatures are. Who gives a rat's butt if there is a spider in your house? If you're such a heartless, ignorant prude then find a real human being to rescue the poor thing and take it some place safe.

My answer once upon a time would have been pick it up - with my hands - and take it outside, if your calm it wont bite you... but then in the dark 1 night i accidently walked through a spiderweb and the spider went down my shirt felt threatened and bit me uncountable times and i was sick in hospital for weeks... so i no longer have the calmness to simply pick it up and move it... i know it can be done because i used to... now i just freeze up and call for back-up someone else can move it!!!

Some spiders are handy . The Black widow is the only spider that will or can kill the Brown recluse aka Violin spider. You don't want to get bit by the Violin and rather the Black widow. I don't kill the Black widow.

If you are superstitious then you are supposed to catch it, and let it go outside because it is bad luck to kill a spider indoors. Personally, I just squash it.

Personally, I freak out. I'm afraid of spiders. I ask someone else to get rid of it. I'd prefer they shoo it out, but if thats not possible, then I just dont look if they kill it.

Freak out a little bit then kill it... with my shoe... by smacking it. I get some huge spiders in here... and if it crawls on me then I really freak out. I get a lot of ants in my house, it's really annoying.
