I am NOT talking just about someone whose music you're really into or someone you think is really hot.

I'm wondering about what celebrities you'd really enjoy hanging with, even if they stopped recording/acting/whatever, based on these (very) rough guidelines:

Who has an excellent life for themselves? Who does really cool things in their professional and/or private lives that you wouldn't mind sharing? Who is able to accomplish things you can actually respect?

My own immediate response? Jimmy Buffett. He is a New York Times bestselling author, multiple times. He pilots his own seaplane. He hangs out in the Caribbean. He sails. He does frequent small, intimate shows where he obviously has a great time, not to mention the way his fans react to him at his big concerts. He's involved in numerous environmental issues.

All of that is just off the top of my head. So, what about you? Who do you find really cool?

Tommy Lee, I would like to hang out with him just for one day.

He probably has some (many) weird, far out, and exciting stories to tell.

Jimmy Buffett is a good answer!

I'd also like to hang with Neil Peart (the drummer and lyricist for Rush).

Angelina Jolie - sure she's hot, but I like her politics too, and the fact that she doesn't just TALK about doing the right things, she DOES them.

BTW, the first person to ever offer my oldest daughter a joint was Woody Harrelson at a festival in SFGGP.

Paula Deen, Tyler Florence, Emeril, Giada DeLaurentiis, Rachael Ray, and Martha Stewart because they make a living and then some doing what I love to do the most. Bette Midler, Danny Glover, and Harry Belafonte for their humanitarian efforts.

Johnny Depp. I think he is the ultimate for a good many reasons. I haven't read bios or anything on him, but he is such a versatile actor that I can safely assume that he is caring, compassionate, fun loving, a rebel rouser, and a pirate.

He keeps a decent low profile and doesn't seem to be very much of a womanizer and thats good. ( although he could be,)

I would almost be entirely in heaven if I could spend some time around him. I think his parents raised him right.

Jack Johnson. He seems very chill, and kickback. Also, I would love to sit on the beach in Hawaii and have him play acoustic guitar and sing while I hang out with my family and drink some beers. So fun. Also, Ellen Degenerees would be hillarious to hang out with.

Denzel Washington and Sean Paul. Denzel seems so into his work and does a great job playing each and every part with such care and delicacy.....Sean Paul has a great sense of style and just about anything he puts on his body he looks fantastic in.
