I want to become involved in a child protection volunteer program...?

I want to become involved in a child protection volunteer program...?
However, I cannot seem to find any in my local area. The only programs I can find are legal career options. Does anyone know of a national based program or regional based program that I can get started in my community. (Not including Big brother's and sisters Org.) I would appreciate any help I can get!

You could be a CASA they are around anywhere kids in the system have to go to court. You are not legal, but you are a voice for the child. Someone who speaks not for the parents or the system, but the child. That is volunteer. The world needs real caring foster parents and you can be single to be one. Have you looked to the schools? They often have good programs Mentor programs are the best because you are omne on one with a kid. Maybe you could start your own program. Good luck it is always cool to see people who care about the kids

You can try the links below. But figure out what area you feel concerned about, that you want to get a message out about. (There are so meny) Then search it on the web and you should find something that can help you start a chapter where you are

All metropolitan areas have Advocacy Groups. They help protect children's rights, especially in relation to school accommodations and such. Try contacting your local school districts and the chamber of commerce.

Dont know where you are located, but I know that in most states you can form your own group if it is something you are passionate about. There are alot of groups out there but its hard to give you an answer without knowing where you come from.
