British version gets away with a little more in terms of raunchy humor, but the character in the US version are much more engaging.

The British "The Office" is soooo much funnier than the US version. Ricky Gervais has that character down so well, whereas Steve Carrell seems too slapstick. I like the subtlety of the British version. The one liners and the way that David Brent plays to the camera. I think one of my favorite scenes is when David is waiting for the girl from the Agency to arrive for the Christmas party during the special. Then that fatter women comes up and he says that about how he thought she was his blind date. HAHAHAHAHAHA SOOOO FUNNY. And who could forget such subtle gems as "ahhh, Blood bath!" or "stop looking up Jennifer's skirt". HAHAHAH. And I'm American, too, just so you all know.

British by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The american Office seems really stupid, and it's like why would they even bother to recreate it?? Ricky Gervais is really funny in my opinion, and no one can ever be as good a David Brent as he is. And I'm American, I just love the British Office.

Both are very well done, but I do prefer the US version.

americans don't actually have a sense of humour so the idea behind the american office is a bit over optimistic

US for sure. I agree totally about the characters! They crack me up. It is the best comedy since Sienfeld
