I've been in a long distance relationship for 2 1/2 years and he and I had a very good understanding, but the more that you're apart, trust does become an issue. I made the biggest mistake of my life and retrieved his voice messages and confronted him with it. It turned out to be innocent, but now he says that he cannot be around someone who doesn't trust him. I just became insecure for a brief moment and now I wish I could take it back. He and I talk everyday and now live in the same city and behave as if we're still in a relationship, but he maintains that we're "just friends". I'm so in love with him and my children adore him as well and he treats them as if they are his own. I know that what I did was completely wrong, but how can I make this right with him and let him know I will never do this again?

Sounds as though that is a question you need to be asking him. "What can I do to make things right again, how can I show that I am sorry?". No one here can answer for him.

Ahhhhhh,...regaining trust. THATS A TOUGHY! Sorry, but u really cant make it go any faster. If ur just friends (looks like its his choice),....u have to just be his friend. Friends regain trust sooner that BF/GF's do. Be his friend, when he trusts u again, then maybe u guys can be more.

i was in a relationship for 3 yrs and from the first day, she lied to me and it totally destroyed my heart, i'm not sure if i can ever trust any female ever again because of what she did. TRY to show him he CAN TRUST YOU, ALWAYS BE HONEST, even if feelings will be hurt .

JUST GIVE IT SOME TIME. TRUST HAS TO BE EARNED AGAIN. MY FIANCE AND I LIVE IN DIFFERENT STATES AND I KNOW HOW TEMPTING IT IS TO WORRY AS TO WHAT MAY BE HAPPENING WHEN YOU AREN'T TOGETHER I HAVEBEEN THERE TOO. TAKE THINGS SLOW AND IF IT'S MEANT FOR THE TWO OF YOU TO BE TOGETHER YOU WILL, IF NOT THEN LEARN FROM THIS AND MOVE ON.

You already ruined it, you can't go around not trusting your own boyfriend.
