It hurts, don't let anyone tell you different. The outline hurts more than the color. If you get a tatoo with a large amount of black in it, be prepared for pain. Red ink hurts, too. It also depends on where you get it; my ankle one hurt like a mad bstrd, and I have flaming eyes on my back that has a lot of black in it; that hurt like a mad bstrd too. Look, you've got various amounts of needles puncturing your skin like a sewing machine, loading ink deep into your skin. Of course it hurts! Good news: women take pain better than men do. Take some ibuprofen before you go, and grin and bear it! Tattoos don't come without a price, that price being money, time, pain, and aftercare.

Don't go there being drunk, sunburned, or pregnant; the tattoo artist will turn you right back around.

It hurts. But it's really not that bad. It depends on where you get the tattoo, over bone can be worse, over muscle is better for the pain factor. Relax, take deep breaths. GOOD LUCK!

It's like stabbing a needle into your skin over and over and over again, but it doesn't seem to hurt... I mean I know it hurts, but I've never seen anyone cry or be upset over getting a tattoo, and when they have one they usually always go back for another. If you've had a piercing, it seems to kinda be like piercings. They might hurt a little during, but after it's all worth it.

well I only have one tattoo and it didn't really hurt at all... I hear people say it all depends on where you get it if you get it where theres a lot of muscle like ur arm it's gonna hurt but if you get it were there isnt so much muscle like your shoulder it doesn't hurt... the needle goes so fast that you really dont have much time to say it hurts lol... I guess it all depends on your body! some people say the outline hurts.... but i thought the coloring did... so i guess it depends on you!

Depends on how good the artist is and where you're having the tattoo done. Lower back hurts and so does the ankles.

It's just a slight burning sensation. It really doesn't hurt that bad, unless you have a very low tolerance for pain and discomfort. If you really want one, especially if the design is your own, you will find that there is hardly any pain at all.

I don't have one, but I have heard it just depends where you get it. If you have bones around where you get it it hurts real bad. If you have a lot of muscle where you get it it doesn't hurt.

Depends on where you are getting it.
Some places hurt less than others, but they all have an element of discomfort.
Also depends on how big, if there is alot of shading(really hurts) or color.
