I HAVE THE ANSWER FOR YOU, I suffered with this for many years, It was driving me insane, So I had my husband go for a sleep study, he first talked to his doctor about this, and he wrote a order for a sleep study, the receptionist takes care of all the details for you, anyway, they called us and told of us the date and time and place to be and my husband steyed the night and they did the sleep study by monituring him while he sleeps, the result, well he has sleep apnea, and was prescribed a sleep like machine with a little mask, and it pushes a flow of air through his nose while he sleeps, just the right amount he needs(was lacking) and he hasn't snored ever since, it may not be attractive wearing this device while sleeping, but it beats the heck out of Me having to go sleep in the spare bedroom, and I can now get my 7 or 8 hours alseep along with him, sleep apnea can be dangerous, so she really does need to get this sleep study done, and they have other alternitives other then the machine, by the way I just remembered what it's called, a C-Pap machine. anyway, talk to her ab out this, it will improve the way she feels on a daily basis also, because he will also get a better quality sleep, snowing will wear a person out, and be extrememly tired during the day,

Nah, I sleep through his snoring (and his alarm lol). Anyway, from other sources I have heard that the breath right strips do work although they can be uncomfortable. Maybe prop an extra pillow under her head. Get and air purifier. Or there is a thing called a Rhino out there that can be used to clean the nasal passages and is usually available through a homeopathic store or practitioner. Maybe she is overtired when going to bed or is extra stressed lately? Try a physician or sleep clinic as a reference.

As sad as it is to say, I would have never gotten together with my husband if I'd have ever known he was a snorer! It used to not bother me when we first got together...the whole lovey dovey deal...isn't it cute?
But as the years progressed, so did the irritation! He snores so loudly now that he'll scare me to death, waking me from a deep sleep! I found that if he slept on his side, it was a little better. I just have to keep rolling him over. Also, I found that alcohol makes it worse! He recently got sick, making the snoring unbearable, as he has to breathe through his mouth, not his nose. Horrible! I've had to sleep in another room just to get a few winks myself!
He's recently offered to ask his doctor about possible options, including surgery. Maybe you could ask your wife to do the same? Believe me, I feel for you!

Speak in very formal terms. You would be socially correct to tell her what you do in the privacy of your home is none of her concern. If that doesn't work flat out tell her to mind her own business. Do not encourage her by being friendly with her. You're either her friend and her nosiness is part of the deal or she's a nosy busybody you don't deal with at all. Then if all else fails, the previously suggested kick may well be your best bet.

Snoring can be an indication of a bigger problem such as sleep apnea which can cause undue stress on the heart. If your spouse snores you need to have them checked and get it taken care of, it really can be very serious. You might solve both of your problems.

It is a terrible thing to go many nights without enough a decent rest. I have a few ideas. Ear plugs, in a pinch a cotton ball rolled tight will do.
Attempt to get your partner to side lie. Check out their pillow. One with a good neck support was the trick for my hubby. I always have a spare bed in the next room ready for when I really need a good sleep, and I try to go to sleep first.

LOL... my boyfriend snores when he's really tired too. I usually gently wake him up, let him know, and then ask him if he can sleep on his side. This usually stops it or at least quiets it down a little. Good luck!

My boyfriend snores a lot to but I really don't mind it. I know he's there if he's making noise but you could get those little breath right strips or something. Or go to your doctor... They may be able to prescibe something.
