It is important you understand the rays from the sun: UVA and UVB.... UVA is the one that destroys your elasticin and collagen (the same ones that when we grow older they start the diminish the production) and this is what makes the 90% of aging signs and the tanning slons have these rays. Also the UVB is the ray that burns you and contributes to skin cancer. What you need are products that help you get protected form both rays and always try to avoid the SPF over 30 because these will cause your skin to get irritated. I use these great products that help me get a nice tan and they also have a tan enhancer that makes your tan last longer....you could find them in this site, at the left margin look for BefoRE Sun and you will find them .... https://secure.myarbonne.com/arbonne/arb... the best part is that they have ingredients for anti aging.... amazingly wonderful...you are protecting your skin and at the same time you are turning age back....and the hair protectn is just divine because it also works like a detangler..... and you could also use the "chap stick" they have to protect and hydrate your lips ....... But once again the important thing to do is remember to protect yourself before exposing your skin to the sun, the sun is the #1 worse thing for the skins health and #2 will be using products formulatted with mineral oil, it would be like rubbing car oil on your skin and exposing yourself to the sun.... also avoid using products formulatted with animal products....these come from rendering plants and what they do is pick all dead animals from road, forest, meatmarkets, etc., and they put them in a huge pot and squash everything inside, boil it and the oil that comes to the top is what other companies use to formulate their "beauty" products... gross i know.....this is why i use arbonne products they are botanically based and you could really see the results you want.... check this fox news documentary also..... http://easylink.playstream.com/ydc/Arbonne/fox_news.wvx

Your best bet is to buy a sunless tanning lotion. They are much improved since they first came out, and don't turn you orange like the old ones used to. Two ones that work well are Dove or Neutrogena. Although laying out in the sun for extended periods of time is always damaging to your skin, (whether you get color or not), if you can't resist, you can also buy sunscreen with a bronzer already in it. It will make you instantly darker when you apply it, then also works while you lay out. In that case, you still want to buy something with an SPF15 or greater. Although getting that deep bake from a day at the beach can be fun and make you look good for the moment, your skin pays a huge price in the long run.

well what i do is put on sunscreen then after i get out of the water i smear some tanning stuff on me. well it really depends on ur skin type. If u r really white and have freckles u shouldn't sit in the sun in the first place, or with loads of sunscreen. but if u have fair skin, just do what i said in the first place k.

No just use a lower SPF sunscreen or use a tanning lotion that has a high SPF.

Well everytime you use sunscreen there is a higher chance that you won't get skin cancer... Pick one.. being white or cancer. I would chose being white.
