Yeah right! Equal opportunities? Heck, even if you're an American citizens since the darn Mayflower, you can't run if you're not backed by big bucks!! Gone is the day when REAL people would have a chance, like Abe Lincoln, people with no money, but plenty of grit and a sense of honor! Nowadays, heck, put a word out to the multinationals ... I wanna be President, and when I am, you'll get all you want ... and hey presto! I tell you, we'll always have presidents who don't give a damn about the people, since the presidential candidates don't seem to either KNOW any real people, or CARE about any real people ...

Of course America is not an Equal Opportunity country. This is a country with things like Affirmative Action, Hate Crimes, Quotas and the Race Card. We should all be equal under the law.

Constitutionally there's no issue with any US born citizen becoming president.
It's just a matter of time before a woman or a "minority" becomes president. It'll be a huge deal when it happens, and then it will become ordinary.
Remember that as recently as 100 years ago Irish people were considered minorities.

First, you have to be acceptable in all ways....now with only about 25-30% of Americans are black...do you think the white majority will vote for some guy who is not outstanding...I would have voted for Colin Powell but look at other black leaders and tell me the ones that could persuade whites to support him. In Hawaii, we have a well known senator who is of Chinese ancestry....Equal opportunity exists if you have $$$$$$$....like some one said...some people are equal, and some people are more equal..

Its a country of laws, not your foolish whim. Just because blacks and Mexicans have made a mockery of the legal system doesn't mean we'll deliberately turn the federal govt into another third mockery of real government
I'm satisfied with a white man in the White House.

while i can hardly understand your question gone banter, ill go ahead and say that becoming US president is hardly an opportunity available to even 50% of the American public, though im sure that number has gotta be way higher.

There is no Affirmative Action at the polls. American's don't want an unqualified minority at the helm.
