on her day off and did,t know until she came into work two days later to see her desk packed up. I think this is really funny and everyone thinks I am being mean. Am I? Let me tell you all that she should have been fired. What I find funny is that she found out after she saw her desk packed up. She is a nice person, but a bad worker.

When a person has been in the working world a long time time, they see and hear many things. They can find humor in almost any situation. While it's never actually funny to see someone lose their job, sometime that person has it coming and it can be funny the way the company decides to let them go. Ask an older person about this, they can tell some hilarious stories and may not come right out and laugh, but you will see them smile and the twinkle in their eyes.

Yes you are being mean, I see no humor in this. They were fired and now have to find a new job to support themselves. Why was she fired anyway, look at that fired, and shes at work anyways. Ya she didn't know it, but she was still there so she not a ditcher. I think I would have to know the whole story to possibly find humor in it, but with what you have said, it's sad not funny.

You shouldn't be happy about her firing.
She is going to find out that she lost her job, and that is not going to be funny her, it will affect her in her daily life.
What's happened could happen to anybody, even if she was doing her job. Some employers will find out any reason to fire you, and there is nothing that you can do about it.
I think you should feel sorry for her not enjoy her firing.
Life is like a wheel, and never stop, keep turning, what do you know about your future with this employer or another one, honestly, think about it.

If you don't believe it to be mean, then it would be perfectly okay, should that ever happen to you for others to laugh. You wouldn't have a right to take it personal. It's bad when anyone loses their job, for you to find humor in such a thing shows you severely lack in character. I am glad you are not a person in my life.

Well, if you were in her shoes would you think it was mean? How can any thinking person find humor in someone elses pain and humiliation? You're not only mean, you're a chicken livered shmeer.

It is mean. I feel sorry for your coworker, whoever fired her was being low.. if your going to fire someone, fire them to their face.. don't take the sissy-way out and fire them when they're not there to avoid confrontation. You're no better for laughing about it.
