I had a 'friend' like that... most ppl are like that due to low self esteem. They don't want ppl to think as badly about them as they do about themselves so they talk themselves up in the attempt to get ppl to think they are cool or something.

One-uppers piss me off. Those are the people that always have to brag about something or tell a better story when they hear someone else having a conversation. I've known a few people like that...we usually just ignore them.

We all know someone like this. I have a friend(?) who does this alot, I just let her "win." If it is that important to her, she can have it I am secure enough in myself that I don't argue with her. Although every once in a while (usually over the kids) she really burns me up lol!
