If a player recives a yellow card in the second round and in the semi-finals, do they miss the final even though the yellow cards were no two straight games in a row.

Yes, they accumulate in the tournament, as the other answerer has said. All yellow cards were removed, or set to 0 after the group stages. That is, if you got a yellow card in the first match, and then one in the second round, or round of 16, then you are not disqualified for the next match.

a) three cautions received in three different matches of the same
competition in U-17 competitions organised by FIFA;
b) two cautions received in two different matches of the same competition
in other championships subject to age limits organised by
FIFA;
c) two cautions received in two different matches of the same competition
in every other championship;
d) with regard to friendly competitions, cf. c)."

I cannot find a source to say the yellow cards are set to 0 after the group stage.

I agree and I must add something here. I believe that everything is fair but only time Can prove it to you. To people who say Real didn't deserve their win: Ramos'S own goal was an offside by Van Persie. Their goal In the first leg was Not even a corner. And also Ferdinand needed a red card for his fault. So would it be fair if Man U went through???

yes they yellow cards do accumulate..it wouldn't be fair though if you think about it..Someone in the final with 2-3 yellow cards.
