This is an unusual case for me and it's happened twice now. The way it is, is that I have a dream and some event happens. Later on in that same dream a certain situation that occured is repeated. In one dream where something was repeated I was watching myself and in the other dream I was actually there in that repeated situation. It's very strange. How do you interpret this?

This happens to me often as well, and I think a lot of the answerers came close to saying this - but not quite.

Dreams are very easy to forget when you wake up - because they are usually random and full of things that are hard to understand. They can be disconnected in time and seem very surreal. However, the repetition is saying to your brain - 'remember this!'

It wants you to remember the situation and think about it with your conscious mind. It may be an old memory, a fear/worry that you haven't admitted to yourself, or a warning your mind is sending you about something you didn't really pay attention to.

The situation does not have to be exactly as shown in the dream - think about it symbolically as well. Maybe that will help you find the meaning.

example: I had a dream several years ago I was struggling to get across a store to get a package of eggs. But my feet kept sinking in the cement floor, more and more with every step. Once I would finally make my way to the eggs, I would pick them up and the whole place would be empty - except me and my package of eggs. No people, just a dark empty room.

This dream happened a few times and I finally realized I was struggling towards a goal that I thought was important - very important - but actually was just 'a pack of eggs'... and I should stop focusing so hard on just one thing and look around myself to find out what really mattered.

Dreams That Repeat

I'm no expert, but I can tell you my experience. For years, I had the same dream, a very specific one that played like a mini-movie. I had no idea what the dream meant, and it used to drive me crazy, wondering.

Then, about 15 years ago, something happened that triggered the memory of a traumatic childhood event. After that, the dream went away.

Maybe you too are repressing a memory. I hope that, whatever it is, you can resolve it. All the best.

Try to decipher what dreams are trying to tell you. If repeated, then something needs to be resolved. I got a book on dreams and some things do not mean what you think they do. Very interesting, but some times I can't make heads or tails out of mine either.

Maybe, yours is trying to tell you to be invloved in doing something instead of staying on the sidelines and watching things pass you by.

I think that happens to you because maybe you have seen that person in the past, and I know I have dreams that keep repeating too. It's not a rare thing.

Every person in your dream is a different aspect of yourself. If this person is someone you know, ask yourself what you have in common with this person to figure out what aspect of yourself the message is for. Repeated messages need to be heard. If you don't get it, it will keep repeating until you get the message. The dream world is how our Inner Self or God-Force gets messages to us. (Your ego, your guardian angel, whatever it is to you) Listen to the meaning. Ask for help understanding the message before you go to sleep.

when your sub conscience think that you are needed to ( you means conscious you) know some thing it produces repeated stimulus during slumber it is the most possible explanation that it coming to me at the moment, if you to stop repeated dreaming you must act as you dream requires you to in order to do that you must analyze your dream in one word if you want out go to a psychologist ( psycho analyst preferable).

im no expert, but maybe it's because you've been thinking about this event a lot, or even if you havent, it's been buried in your subconscious mind somehow. i think it also depends on what kind of dream it was, how you felt about it, if there was anyone else you saw, and what actually happened.

or... it could be just coz your some psychic person with cool powers!!!

take your pick. :)
