Application of cabbage leaves treats swelling. It can be used for a twisted ankle, for instance, as well as to stop milk production. When the breasts stop swelling, milk production drops. And, no, it is *not* an old wive's tale. It is, in fact, used in some hospitals to *safely* help dry up a mother's milk supply when she chooses not to nurse or (in very limited amounts) to treat engorgement. All the drugs that have been used in the past have had terrible side effects--death chief among them--so cabbage is a great alternative.

its really hard to explain they told me that if youre not breastfeeding and lay the baby on your chest or anything with warmth too it on ur chest it will cause the milk to get hard in your boobs and it will hurt really bad cabbage leaves its got something in the leaves that will make it go aaway, they also tell you to ware a tight bra where ur breast dont have any room to move around or bounce what not

i didnt use them to stop breast feeding but i did use them when my boobs got engorged freeze the leaves and place them on swollen boobs to relieve the pressure dont know why it worked but it did

IT DONT IT DRIES UR MILK UP IF YOU DONT WANT TO BREAST FEED THATS WHAT MY DR TOLD ME AND IT WORK BUT I WANTED TO FEED MY BABY BUT HE WOULD TAKE IT CAUSE THEY GIVE HIM A BOTTLE AS SOON AS HE WAS BORN I HAD TO REST SO THEY FEED HIM
