I have about three weeks until our county fair. my pig needs to weigh atleast 220 lbs and right now it only weights 170 or so. I heard it can gain about 1-2 lbs a day. Is there any suggestions on food to feed to the pig to make it gain weight faster.

The pen you keep it in needs to be small so that the pig can't burn off excess fat. I recommend a automatic feeder and make sure you keep it filled that's how I got my pig to pork up. You could also feed it high fat content foods like hamburgers or table scraps.

Find a good pig feed - show feed or the high protein stuff you mix with corn. Feed plenty of it. It sounds like a lot of weight to make up in a short amount of time - but find a good quality show pig food and feed plenty of it.

how long have you had your pig ? and how old is it? my pig I had it for a year now and it was 464lb. his name is Pork chop. we have hI'm in a small pin and we got a automatic feeder so he can eat all the time if he wont to he is only a 1yr old know so im not sure wot kind of pig you have or how old he is but from the sounds of it your pig needs either a smaller pin or it needs more feed. wot kind of feed do you feed know? we feed a Pig grower from our local feed store and we all so feed Chopped corn. you also need to make sure that he has plenty of fresh water because that is very important to. I used to feed my 4-H and fair hogs when I was a kid the bad raw milk from the local dairys. I fattens them up unreal. I used to go down to the river catch feed them fish (carp and catfish) that I would catch. Plus the small pen and the auto feeder as mentioned. Your really gonna have to bust a move on him to get him up in 3 weeks though.

Just make him eat and eat and put him to sleep by lacing the food with sleeping pills. After he wakes up, feed him again.

A good high protien feed with molassas.....and brachs caramels.......lots of them
