Because girls aren't supposed to go after boys. Boys are supposed to go after girls.

Why should girls tell if it may be only a crush to them its better for a girl to leave it alone. I believe girls don't tell because just as I did not tell a certain guy i liked him i was glad because I discovered he had a girlfriend and so that is the most dissapointing thing a girl can come across when trying to approach a guy.

Cause guys are supposed to make the first move since this is a totally male-oriented world. Girls are afraid of rejection, so it's easier to just throw hints and yell at the guy if he doesn't get them. It's stupid.

Because girls like to be pursued. As a girl, I like it when a guy comes up to me and tells me he's interested in me.

because a lot of women have inhibitions and we are allergic to rejection. We are afraid that you won't feel the same way and we will feel stupid. Also some men will take advantage of a woman if they know they like them

We humans are not configured that way. The way we are are configured is for guys to make the first move. Girls that make the first move are extremely bold and just as rare.

Adults do. It seems that playing coy just comes with being young and immature, along with hair-pulling. When two adults like each other, they usually don't go the route of trying to act like they don't. Being secure and at ease with yourself just comes with age. Don't worry, it will get easier.
