sociology is the study of individuals and society around them. It more invovles viewing society as a whole and looking at group behavior.
Psychology deals with the individuals and how their mind deals with things. It's more focused on the person then the group.
Well it depends on what you want to view. Do you want to view society as a whole and how different group? or Would you like to see the individual? It's harder to change the behavior of a group instead of an individual but sometimes changing and individual can help change the world.

Sociology has more to do with the way society works, the people and the things in it. Psychology has more to do with matters of the mind, the way that it works, why the people in society think the way they do. Not just why they do what they do. And it all depends on which one you are interested in more....What pleases you the most? Good luck.

Sociology is the study of people in a group while psychology deals with the human mind. Personally, I found psychology a lot easier and enjoyable. You learn to interact with people a lot better (and manipulate them to a certain degree).
